GS Housing Completes Construction of 3,463 Modular Hospital Units Within One Week
Faced with the severe COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong, GS Housing answered the urgent call and undertook the critical mission of building a temporary modular hospital with a capacity of 20,000 people within just one week. The company needed to deliver nearly 3,500 flat-packed container houses and complete on-site assembly under extreme time constraints.
In this race against time to combat the pandemic, GS Housing fully leveraged the collaborative strength of its three modular production bases across China (Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Tianjin factories), working around the clock to manufacture the necessary supplies. Ultimately, the company successfully delivered 3,463 container units within seven days, setting a new industry record.
To ensure rapid transportation of materials, GS Housing meticulously planned its logistics, shipping the units in full-container loads from Panyu Lianhuashan Port, Zhongshan Huangpu Port, and Jiangmen Gaoxin Port. The supplied modular units included three main categories: standard ward modules, independent bathroom modules, and shower modules, fully meeting the functional requirements of medical facilities.
Additionally, GS Housing dispatched a professional engineering team to Hong Kong to assist with rapid on-site assembly, ensuring that this “lifesaving modular facility” was completed on schedule. The project provided robust infrastructure support for Hong Kong’s fight against the pandemic。
