Project Features
In the Huashan Nickel-Cobalt Project in Indonesia, GS Housing provided 1,081 modular camp container units for the workers’ accommodation camp, which can house 5,000 workers. This project is entirely composed of modular containers. It includes one 300-person comprehensive office building (138 boxes) that can simultaneously accommodate offices for six construction teams and the owner; six staff cafeterias (40 boxes per building, totaling 240 boxes); 64 staff dormitories (10 boxes per building, with 16 management dormitories equipped with integrated bathrooms and 48 employee dormitories; totaling 640 boxes); nine staff public bathhouses (5 boxes per building, totaling 45 boxes); one activity room (12 boxes); and one shop and barber shop (6 boxes).
The biggest advantage of GS Housing’s modular containers is convenience.
The modular design allows the units to be prefabricated in the factory and then transported to the mining site, where they only need simple assembly to quickly create a fully functional camp. This greatly shortens the construction period of the camp and allows us to begin operations sooner. Furthermore, when the mining location changes, the containers can be easily disassembled and transported to a new site for reassembly, truly achieving portability and flexibility.
The interior space is reasonably laid out and can be flexibly designed into dormitories, offices, cafeterias, bathrooms, and other functional areas based on different needs. The containers are equipped with complete water and electricity facilities, and the walls and floors are made of high-quality insulation, fireproof, and moisture-resistant materials. Even in the harsh conditions of the mining environment, they provide a comfortable and safe living and working space.
