Project Introduction
In the field of mining development in Indonesia, the Huayou Cobalt mining project has attracted significant attention. To meet the work and living needs of employees, the company needed to construct a modern mining camp with comprehensive functions tailored to the tropical climate. Leveraging its extensive experience in modular construction, GS Housing provided customized container houses and integrated steel structure solutions, creating efficient, comfortable, and durable camp facilities that serve as a crucial guarantee for the smooth progress of the project.
Project Highlights
1. Customized Design
– All container houses were customized based on the characteristics of Indonesia’s tropical climate, featuring an iron-gray hipped roof design to enhance drainage and prevent rainwater accumulation, while also offering excellent sun and moisture resistance.
– The flexible interior layout meets multifunctional needs for office, accommodation, and living spaces, complying with international mining camp standards.
2. Rapid Deployment and Efficient Construction
– The modular container houses were prefabricated in the factory and shipped to Indonesia, enabling high-efficiency on-site assembly and significantly reducing construction time to meet the urgent schedule of the mining project.
– The steel structure components were made of lightweight, high-strength materials, ensuring stability and earthquake resistance suitable for Indonesia’s geological conditions.
3. Human-Centric Facilities
– The camp is equipped with comprehensive living facilities, including a prayer room (respecting local religious culture), a gym (improving employee quality of life), a supermarket, and a canteen (meeting daily needs), significantly enhancing employee satisfaction and work efficiency.
4. Durability and Low Maintenance
– The container surfaces feature anti-corrosion coatings, and the steel structures are treated with rust-proofing, making them suitable for Indonesia’s high-temperature and high-humidity environment while effectively reducing long-term maintenance costs.
Through innovative modular construction solutions, GS Housing has provided a safe and comfortable office and living environment for over 12,000 employees of Huayou Cobalt. Utilizing modular construction technology, the project achieved rapid construction and eco-friendly practices, significantly reducing on-site construction waste and helping Huayou Cobalt efficiently establish a fully functional, weather-resistant mining camp in Indonesia. This solution fully embodies the modern construction principles of “speed, flexibility, and sustainability,” offering reliable temporary construction support for overseas resource development projects.
Additionally, GS Housing has participated in the construction of Huayou Cobalt’s Huayue Project, Huayou Cobalt’s Huashan Nickel-Cobalt Project, CMOC’s KFM & TFM mining projects, and the Tsingshan Industrial Park Project.
